1. To evaluate subjective symptoms, objective findings and results of examinations of patients hospitalized in Na Homolce Hospital in the acute phase of myocarditis or perimyocarditis.
2. To compare the results ascertained in the presented work with the results of already performed studies which have served as materials for the theoretical part of this work.
3. To compare subjective symptoms, objective findings, results of ECG, ECHO, X-Rays, CMRI, selective coronarography and lab examinations in patients with initial troponin I level up to 0,06 ng/ml and of patients with initial troponin I level higher than 0,06 ng/ml.
This category includes details to the methodology for each examinech parameters.
The examined group comprised of patients hospitalized on the Department of Cardiology of Na Homolce Hospital between the 1st January 2002 and the 31st December 2016 with the diagnosis of myocarditis or perimyocarditis. Myocarditis and perimyocarditis were in this examined group defined on the grounds of the diagnosis of a cardiologist.
The examined group comprised of 30 individuals (24 males and 6 females) of the average age of 35 ± 14 years with the avarage hospitalization duration 7 ± 4 days.
The category summarizes the results of all investigated parameters. In some of them (for example subjective symptoms and objective finding) over 10 different findings were described. Some characteristics reached statistical significance level in comparison of groups of patients with initial negative and positive troponin I level.
The examined group consisted mostly of young males up to the age of 40. Majority of patients (77 %) had increased troponin I level and generally, the examined group showed a strong heterogeneity in the question of symptoms and examinations´ findings.
In the case of this examined group, troponin I was increased in 77 % of patients, however, it did not have to correspond with the severity of the clinical state as described in this article.
